Honored Stories Series: Angie Hansen

 Angie Hansen: My Story

"It was March 25, 2014 when my life was forever changed. I heard the dreaded words “you have cancer” and began to fight. My husband and I had 5 young children at the time (ages 11, 9, 7, 5, 2) and were prepared to do whatever they told me to do. Fast forward to July of 2017…my Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer diagnosis. Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer-what does this mean? It means that the disease has spread beyond the breast and nearby lymph nodes. It also happens to be the only kind of breast cancer that people can die from.

I’m out of the “fight” mode now, and on to living with cancer. I live each day to the fullest with my beautiful family, traveling the world and making beautiful memories and staying positive and spreading joy wherever I go. I’m blessed in so many ways. In my quest for healthy living, I stumbled upon Skylar. My 3 daughters (now ages 11, 14, 15) often liked to use products from Bath & BodyWorks, but my research has shown how harmful these types of products can be. It wasn’t until I discovered Skylar that I began to even use perfume or candles in my house! So grateful for the company and the fragrance I wear daily, without fear. And my daughters are happy we found a product we can all agree on!"
