New workout classes to try this summer

BAR Method

Ballerinas are not the only ones taking advantage of the bar. Founded by Burr Leonard in 2001, the BAR method, a workout class centered around strength, balance and refining muscle groups, proves women of all ages and body types can achieve a healthier physic. Slow consistent routines help to sculpt and tone your muscles without adding unnecessary pressure to your joints.

 

Goat Yoga

Want to combine your love of working out with the joy of petting a few furry friends? Now you have the option to! Introducing goat yoga- a great way to stretch, destress and experience all the feel good vibes of yoga while enjoying a friendly goat as your warrior II buddy. What more could you ask for! 

 

The Studio (MDR)

Pilates inspired workouts at The Studio (MDR) are not for the faint of heart. A popular class among celebrities, the Studio offers group workout sessions designed to push your abs, arms and legs to their limits. Every exercise is done using their specialized equipment called Megaformers, which offers the user constant resistance, attacking even the smallest of muscle groups. Looking for a challenge? Then the Studio (MDR) is the place for you! Bring a towel because trust me, you’ll sweat...a lot.

 

Playlist Yoga

Recently featured at Propel Co:Labs Fitness Festival, Playlist Yoga takes experiencing music to a whole other level. After stepping inside a dark room, you will be immersed in a 60-minute long vinyasa flow workout session accompanied by uplifting anthems curated by their resident DJ. Sounds like an unBEATable time!
