Why our Love Collection Features Rose Quartz

As a female-founded, Skylar was created to help women feel good in their own bodies - by crafting clean fragrances our customers can feel good about wearing. Breast Cancer has impacted many of our loved ones, family, and members of our own Skylar community. In order to show our love and support for all women during October, Breast Cancer Awareness month, we are launching a limited-edition Love Collection crafted with natural rose quartz - the crystal that represents unconditional love.

Rose quartz is said to activate our hearts (the fourth Chakra) and has a timeless presence – having been used to convey love for centuries. Dating back as early as 600 B.C, this quartz was used to communicate romance, togetherness, and unity. Many have turned to rose quartz in times of pain and distress as a reminder to themselves of their inner strength and courage. Even in Feng Shui, animals and wealth pots are carved out of rose quartz as a way to signal to and invite loving energy – channeling this innate energy from Mother Earth. Rose quartz is commonly used in various therapies as a way to bring love to those close to us. Additionally, it is popularly used in the fashion industry – from jewelry to ornaments to décor.

At Skylar, we firmly believe that the power of the female spirit is limitless. As women, we know our dreams have no bounds. A woman’s inner strength, resilience, and compassion can conquer anything. We picked rose quartz for our love collection this year as a reminder to our Skylar Gals all that you are all capable of overcoming and accomplishing.

"Skylar has always been focused on supporting and empowering strong women. I can’t think of a stronger group of women than those who have gone through Breast Cancer. And since founding the company, I have spoken with many customers that have either survived breast cancer or were actively in treatment and found Skylar on their healthy lifestyle quest. That connection that we have with our community has touched me to my core. To be able to have had an impact on those women’s lives in a small way - by offering a fragrance that’s safe for them and makes them feel great - has been one of my proudest accomplishments of Skylar. It was important for us to spread the love with our community and women everywhere and support efforts to raise awareness of and find a cure for Breast Cancer.” – Cat Chen, Skylar CEO
