Absolutely! The best way to sample Skylar is our Sample Palette. For only $25, you will receive mini-sized sprays of all of our scents. The best part is, the sampling cost can be automatically applied toward your next full-sized purchase, so sampling is essentially free.
WHAT INGREDIENTS ARE IN YOUR PRODUCTS?
See full details behind our product philosophy here Our perfumes start with a base of organic sugar cane alcohol, distilled water, and natural ingredients like flowers, plants, and spices. We use natural ingredients as much as possible. However, some natural ingredients are allergenic (lavender and grapefruit are just 2 examples), so in those cases we replace them with safe lab-made ingredients. WHERE ARE YOUR PRODUCTS MADE?
Our products are made in Los Angeles, and the ingredients in our products are sourced from all around the world. For example, our vanilla comes from Madagascar, our jasmine comes from India, and our bergamot comes from Italy. Our organic sugar cane alcohol is sourced from an eco-friendly distillery based in Oregon.
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS VEGAN?
Yes! Our products are plant-based, and we do not use any animal by-products.
DO YOU TEST ON ANIMALS?
Never. We only test on ourselves and our sweet friends.
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS GLUTEN-FREE?Yes, our products are gluten-free and do not contain wheat, barley, rye, and oats.
HOW DO YOU MAKE NATURAL SCENTS LAST LONGER?
Because of our clean formulation and the fact that we don't use any harmful preservatives, Skylar may wear a little differently than the traditional fragrances you're used to. To help the scents last extra long (naturally), try these tips from our perfumer.
CAN I TRY ON YOUR PERFUME IN STORES?Currently we sell our products exclusively on our website, so we can give you the best shopping experience and best prices. We believe scents are meant to be experienced, and we offer a Sample Palette that allows you to try all of our scents in the convenience of your own home. WHAT ARE YOUR CANDLES MADE OF? Our candle wax is made with a blend of 100% (non-GMO) soy and coconut wax. They do not contain paraffin wax. Our candle wicks are 100% cotton and lead-free. Each candle offers one of Skylar’s signature scent, created with Skylar Body's own fragrance blend with natural and essential oils. WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF SOY COCONUT CANDLES? Our candle wax is made with a blend of 100% (non-GMO) soy and coconut wax. Soy coconut wax which is a natural, non-toxic, biodegradable and a renewable sustainable resource. Our wax candles are paraffin-free and burn cleaner, cooler, slower, and more evenly than other waxes. Did you know that over 95% of candles on the market today contain paraffin, a petrochemical which is highly unsustainable for the planet? In fact, many "soy" candles in today's market are actually a blend containing soy wax and paraffin wax. Our candles are clean burning, which means you can breathe without worrying when burning our candles. ARE THERE ANY COLOR ADDITIVES IN THE CANDLE? Our candles are naturally white; the color of the soy-coconut used to produce them. We do not add any artificial colors to ensure that our candles remain as natural as possible. HOW ARE YOUR CANDLES ECO-FRIENDLY? Our soy-coconut wax is biodegradable and from a renewable, sustainable resource. Our candles do not contain paraffin. Paraffin candles are made from petroleum (a non-renewable source) and release CO2 in the atmosphere when burned. HOW LONG DO YOUR CANDLES BURN FOR? Our candle has a burn time of approximately 50 hours, when burned correctly. Burn times vary depending on the size of the room and conditions. We recommend burning your candle for no more than three hours at a time. DO SOY-COCONUT CANDLES HAVE AS MUCH FRAGRANCE AS A PARAFFIN WAX CANDLE? Yes! The scent of a candle comes from the pool of melted wax. Soy wax has a lower melting point than paraffin candles and consequently has a larger pool of melted wax to disperse the fragrance. WHAT ARE THE WICKS MADE OF? Our candles feature 100% cotton, lead-free wicks. HOW DO I CARE FOR MY CANDLES? Proper candle etiquette is the best way to ensure your candle burns cleanly and is long-lasting. Before you strike a match, trim the wick to ¼” every time (including the first) with our Skylar candle wick trimmer to minimize sooting. Light your candle for up to 3 hours at a time before giving it a breather. To avoid dusting of your candle, feel free to use the coaster we provided on top of your candle when you first opened it. If you do see sooting on your candle, easily take a wet paper towel or wipe the inside of the glass (once cool). WHERE SHOULD I BURN MY SOY-COCONUT CANDLE? It is best to burn your candle on a stable, non-flammable, heat safe, hard surface away from drafts and material that could catch fire. Please do not leave your candle unattended. Keep burning candles out of reach of children and pets. DO I NEED TO TRIM THE WICK?
You should always trim the wick to 1/4" every time you light your candle. Keeping your wick trimmed keeps flickering and/or smoke to a minimum and also makes your candle safer. Trimming also prevents your wick from curling back into the wax, which can occur with non-trimmed wicks.
For your convenience, we offer a Candle Wick Trimmer available for purchase to keep your candles trimmed and neat.HOW CAN I REUSE MY CANDLE JAR?
Absolutely! We pour our candles into drinking glasses so that they can be reused and repurposed. When your candle has reached the end of its life span, pour hot or boiling water into the jar to melt the remaining amount of wax. When the water cools, the wax should float to the top of the jar and be easily removed. Wash the glass with soap and water before reusing. Our jars make excellent drinking glasses, storage containers, planters and anything else you can dream up.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY ORDER TO SHIP?
Typically, orders will ship out within 1 business day of being received. During holidays and peak periods, it may take us up to 2 business days to ship an order.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY ORDER TO ARRIVE?
We ship from Los Angeles, and the transit time depends on where you live. Orders typically arrive 2-5 business days after shipment.
DO YOU OFFER EXPEDITED SHIPPING?
Absolutely! We offer 2 business day delivery and next business day delivery through UPS for all U.S. orders. To qualify for delivery in 2 business days and next business day, please place your order before noon PST Monday through Friday. 2-day shipping is $15 and next-day shipping is $25. To expedite your shipping, simply select the option you'd like at checkout.
DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
Currently we ship to the U.S., Canada, France, Australia, and U.K. (additional shipping charges apply and customs and duties are not covered). However, if you are outside of the U.S. and interested in Skylar, we'd love to hear from you! Drop us a note so we can learn how to better serve you.
HOW DO I TRACK THE STATUS OF MY ORDER?
After you place your order, you will get an order confirmation email with a linked tracking number, which you can use to track your order status.
MY TRACKING LINK DOESN'T WORK. IS SOMETHING WRONG?
In some cases, the tracking links can take 1-2 business days to update. If your tracking link still doesn't work, then please contact us.
I NEED TO CANCEL OR CHANGE MY ORDER. IS IT TOO LATE?
Contact us as soon as possible, and we will do our best to help. If the order has already been shipped out by the time we receive your request, then unfortunately we can no longer cancel or change the order. If you would still like to cancel or change your order after trying our product, then please contact us and we will be happy to help you make a return or an exchange.
HOW DO I BUY A GIFT CARD?
Gift cards can be purchased here. For your convenience, our gift cards are digital and will be emailed to your recipient. We currently do not offer physical gift cards.
HOW DO I REDEEM A GIFT CARD?
In your gift card email, click on the REDEEM GIFT CARD link, then select your product(s). Your gift card value will be applied upon checkout. You can also enter the gift card code directly in the checkout process.
WHAT IS YOUR RETURN AND EXCHANGE POLICY?
We offer free returns and exchanges within 30 days of you receiving your order. To request a return or an exchange, simply contact us and we'll take care of you right away. Please note that your original shipping charge (if any) is not refundable.
IF I RETURN MY ORDER, HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO PROCESS MY REFUND?
Return shipping can take up to 7 business days. Once we receive your return, we will process your refund right away but it may take an additional 3-5 business days for the refund to show up on your original form of payment.
IF MY SCENT PREFERENCE CHANGES AFTER I SAMPLE, HOW DO I CHANGE MY SCENT?
Choosing a different scent is easy! Sign into My Account and click on "My Subscription" (if you did not select a subscription, don't worry, click here anyway). Click on “Want to change your scent?” and select a different scent. Click on the “Save” button and voila! Your new scent will ship on your next scheduled ship date. Need help? We're here for you! WHAT IF I DON'T LIKE ANY OF THE SCENTS IN THE SAMPLE?
Scents are a very personal thing. If our scents aren't a perfect match for you, we're happy to offer a return and refund. Our happiness guarantee applies to all orders, including samples. We offer free returns within 30 days of you receiving your sample. Contact Us and we will send you a free prepaid return label for you to send back your product. Upon receiving the return, we'll process your refund right away. Please note that it can take 3-5 business days for the refund to show up on your original form of payment after we process it on our end and the original shipping charge (if any) is not refundable.
WILL I BE CHARGED FOR SHIPPING IF I PURCHASE A SAMPLE?
Our samples come with free shipping and returns in the U.S.!
IF I PURCHASE A SAMPLE, DOES THAT MEAN I'M AUTOMATICALLY ENROLLED IN A SUBSCRIPTION?
Absolutely not. We offer a subscription option, which offers an additional 15% discount on 1.7 oz bottles of perfume, but a subscription is not required.
HOW DO I CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION?
Changed your mind? You can easily change or cancel your subscription at any time through your account. To cancel your subscription, sign in to My Account, click on "My Subscription", select the subscription, and click on “Cancel Order” at the bottom of the page. Please note that by canceling your order you will surrender the $25 credit you earned by sampling.
HOW DO I CHANGE THE SHIPPING FREQUENCY OF MY SUBSCRIPTION?
To change your shipping frequency, sign into My Account. Click on "My Subscriptions" and click on the subscription you would like to change. Select the frequency of your subscription to 3, 6, or 9 month replenishment options. We'll only bill you on the day that we ship your order.
I FORGOT MY PASSWORD. WHAT DO I DO?
