Now that you've received your beautiful Rollies in the mail, it's time to start playing with your scents. Here are 5 tips on our best-in-class Rollie practices.
1 – Start your day with your Skylar and set your intention with your scent. After the shower, while your skin is still warm and moist, spray your favorite scent all over. Spraying right after the shower will help your scent to last longer.
2 – Before leaving for the day, make sure to pack your favorite travel-sized Rollie. Keep one in your purse for in between meetings or a mid-day pick-me-up for pulse-point application.
3 – Get creative! You may have left the house in an Isle kind of mood, but pack Coral or Meadow to add a playful punch of scent mid-day.
4 – Layer to create your signature! Spray your favorite Skylar scent as your signature base. Then, to create your own custom Skylar combination, layer Meadow after Isle. The creamy, sheerness of Isle blends beautifully with the floral middle note of Meadow.
5 – Take your scent from work to play with just a few swirls of a rollerball. Spray your favorite 1.7 signature before you leave home, and bring the matching rollerball with you to reapply throughout the day. The Rollie story is a simple one.
We loved crafting beautiful, clean scents that our customers could mix and match and layer throughout the day. However, we began to realize that our customers were often on the go- carrying their full size fragrances with them to the office, kids games, or get togethers after work. We wanted to make it easier for our Skylar gals to transition their fragrances conveniently, from fresh and floral in the morning to spicy and sweet in the evening, without taking up too much purse space. So we thought to ourselves, why not create a product that contained the same beautiful scents we love, but in a convenient and discreet packaging? Viola! Shortly after, Skylar Rollies were born.

Over the summer, we sent out a “Skylar Scent Search” survey asking our Skylar gals which scent they would like to see us create next. We received an overwhelmingly large influx of amazing suggestions from our customers all around the world, but one particular submission had us hooked. Describing a summer trip she took to Italy as a student, Dallas Daws wished for a scent that captured her experience on the island in Italy’s Bay of Naples, Capri. Capri boasted warm sands, ripe citrus trees, sparkling limoncello and the salty breeze of the sunny mediterranean, making it truly the stuff of dreams.
Once we saw Dallas’s idea, we couldn’t wait to get to work on bringing her back to that moment of pure bliss, and introduce all our customers to this carefree moment in Capri. Of course, we had to meet the wonderful girl behind our newest scent inspiration, so we flew Dallas out to Los Angeles, CA to come meet the Skylar team. Together, our team and Dallas enjoyed a fun-filled weekend of Malibu hikes, wine tasting, watercolor classes and most importantly, a meet up with Sarah Horowitz, our master perfumer to brainstorm how we could craft the ultimate just-out- of-the-water, no-work-tomorrow, sun-in-your-hair carefree Capri indulgence. Our team welcomed its newest member Capri - a citrus, zesty, sparking scent, to our fragrance collection on July 12th, 2018, with a beautiful launch party hosted by our CEO Cat Chen. Sparkling prosecco, giant balloon bubbles and heavenly cheese plates were just some of the incredible guests that made an appearance last Thursday. We wanted the event to feel as close to Capri as possible and invited our Skylar gals to come celebrate with us at a mediterranean inspired home. Lined with beautiful olive and lemon trees, surrounded by luscious grass and foliage and adorned with sparkling lights overhead, this venue brought back waves of that ultra-relaxed, just-out- of-the-water, no-work-tomorrow, sun-in-your-hair moment Capri was crafted to create.
Dreamt up by our own Skylar customer, Dallas Daws Welch, and voted on by our Skylar gals (with thousands of votes), this scent was truly created by and for real women, and we couldn’t have been happier celebrating its launch with our beautiful Skylar ladies.
